Welcome to the Grand Court of Connecticut’s Website. The Order of the Amaranth is a fraternal, social and charitable organization which endeavors to develop the moral character of its members through the teachings of Truth, Faith, Wisdom and Charity.
The Connecticut Grand Court is now in its 108th year. Our jurisdiction is home to the oldest Amaranth Court in the world – Eliza A. Macoy Court No. 1 - which currently meets in Seymour, Connecticut. Additionally, we have 7 other subordinate courts throughout the state.
Our membership is open to female relatives of Master Masons and Master Masons themselves. Also, since 2002, members of the International Order of the Rainbow for Girls and the International Order of Jobs Daughters who have been active for at least 3 years, or who have attained majority, are eligible for membership (although such petition must be accompanied by the recommendation of a Master Mason).
Our goals for this year are three-fold:
To bring our Grand Court into the 21st century while maintaining our traditional values which have sustained us through the past 100+ years;
To increase membership and member participation; and
To promote fellowship within our Order and the Connecticut Masonic family
We hope you enjoy our website and will visit often for updates on our activities. If you would like information on how to join, or about any of our events, please contact the webmaster.
Fraternally,
